Summer Plus is an academic and experiential program that gives students the opportunity to improve their English speaking skills, while immersing into fashion, art and design topic. It is for students who would like to study the entire spectrum of the fashion world from design to production. Workshops and field trips include a tour of the Garment District or project creation with designers.
On weekdays in the morning the students have group English lessons. The groups are formed on the basis of the test results and age. The classes are based on the communicative approach and focus on major language skills - speaking, listening, writing and reading. 2 General English lessons are followed by 2 Fashion, Art and Design classes. The topics of such classes can be devoted to international and US street style, careers in fashion industry, fashion show production, fashion design collection.
In the afternoon (after lunch) students either participate in field trips (e.g. to Garment District) or take part in on-campus and of-campus master classes and activities.
In the evening (after dinner) students have unique Miami experiences which include exploring Little Havana, salsa dancing and biking along the boardwalk.
Saturdays and Sundays are full of activities and excursions related to the Fashion, Art and Design topic.
